You got $10? – My top 5 favorite drugstore products

It is often thought that if you want the best in beauty, you have to be willing to spend top dollar. And while that can be true…(I don’t really want to be getting Botox in a back alley by Doug who injects as his side gig)…there are tons of products not sold in high end department stores that give you the same bang for your buck. Sometimes, the bang is even bigger.

Today I am sharing my top 5 favorite drugstore products that, in my opinion, are just as good as a fancy name brand product. Most can be purchased at your local Target or Walgreens and all of them are under $10. Click on the name of each product to shop!

#1: Aveeno Ultra-Calming Makeup Removing Wipes
I first saw these on Amrezy’s snapchat. Sidenote, if you don’t know who she is, you need to find her and follow her. She is a queen when it comes to makeup and in my wildest dreams I will never be able to slay it like she does. That being said, she is intense, so proceed with caution. These wipes are life changing. They stay super moist, remove makeup like it’s butter, and soothe your skin all at the same time. They’re more expensive than my old tried and true Target brand but totally worth the extra two bucks.

#2: L’OREAL Voluminous Primer
Holy hell. When I first heard about this eyelash primer from my favorite blogger Emily Gemma at The Sweetest Thing, I was seriously skeptical. Makeup primer…yes. EYElash primer…why? And while I can’t tell you how or why it works, I can say that it is magical. It’s literally the best spent $6. You apply a coat or two before your mascara and it literally makes you have these magical butterfly wings. It does go on white so be prepared for that and don’t forget to put mascara over the top. Otherwise, you’ll look like Powder’s mom. I definitely haven’t done that for work yet…

#3: Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara with AVEC Grow-Lash Complex
Speaking of lashes, if you have incredibly fine eyelashes, then let me introduce you to my favorite drugstore mascara. I struggle with getting thick lashes because of how fine my eyelash hairs are…they tend to stick together easily. Volume-type mascaras end up making me look like 3 daddy long legs made a home on my eyeballs. However, this wand is super fine and a great base if you want to add a thicker mascara on top because it separates each lash.

#4: elf Body Glow in “Shimmer”
I will admit it. I am a sucker for all things glitter, shimmer, and bronze. I’ve had this $3 body shimmer for literally three years and I’ve barely put a dent in it. I will say a little goes a long way and it’s definitely more appropriate for summer months. But if you have a nice tan (even if it’s the spray kind), a tiny swirl of this on a large powder brush, swept over your chest = perfection. Again, go easy with it. Otherwise you will look like Poppy from the Trolls movie, spreading your magical glitter everywhere you go.

#5: Milani Baked Blush in color “Luminoso”
My favorite beauty YouTube guru Jaclyn Hill first talked about this blush years ago. I ordered mine on Amazon because my Target didn’t carry it but you can find it online. It’s a beautiful summer pinky/coral blush that isn’t chalky and blends really well. And for $7, it’s pretty much a steal.

So there you go! Five products, all under $10. In fact, for $10 you can probably get a combo of two or even three. If you want me to try a product and review it, drop a comment below!
